LCT Work Party - Tewitfield Locks with wrgNW |

The work will be clearing vegetation from the lock chambers, spillways, and the areas between. There is also some stonework to be completed. The accommodation is now at Warton Village Hall, Back Lane, Warton, Carnforth LA5 9PH.
Note: March's work party weekend is not on the usual second Sunday, and replaces it.

Open Meeting - Talk on Brightwork |

LCT's Spring Open Meeting will take place at the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal. The guest speaker will be familiar to many: Mike Clarke. His talk will be about "Brightwork", the painted decoration of working boats on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal which was one of the most colourful of Britain’s folk traditions.
His talk will start at 7:30pm in the meeting room "Studio". Refreshments are available within the Brewery Arts Centre but may not be taken into the meeting room.
