Vegetation Clearence at the Stables, Crooklands
On Sunday 14th December a good deal of work was undertaken at our Trip Boat Stable Block.  We were very pleased to have the help of several members of the WRG.  Thanks for coming lads.
The stables and its associated picnic area had not been properly cleared for around two years due the ban last year on using powered tools.  Now we are self supervising we were able to have a thorough clear out of all the weeds and brambles etc. The steps and paths were cleared and  work started to infill the rutted parking area at the roadside.  Also some of the WRG lads repaired the steps leading down to the Trip Boat mooring on the far bank.  As usual David S managed to get a well controlled bonfire going despite the dampness of the waste.  A good day in clement weather.  Some pic's follow.
