Located in Preston, close to the main rail and bus stations. From their base at Ashton Basin, you have the whole length of the canal to cruise in a modern narrowboat. The boats are fully carpeted and heating is provided by either a solid fuel stove or central heating.
Facilities on board include hot and cold water, full size cooker, electric fridge, pump-out flushing toilet and a shower and vanity unit.
For your entertainment a colour TV along with a fitted radio-cassette or radio-CD player are also provided.
All craft are powered by quiet, maintenance free diesel engines and are easily handled. Nevertheless, you still get comprehensive tuition, making it ideal for the first timer.

| We have just come back from a wonderful week's cruising on the Lancaster Canal, hiring Kingfisher from Arlen, a very nice 40 foot boat. She cruises very smoothly and has a fantastic heating system! Recommended. |
