IWA North Lancashire and Cumbria Branch 2 Tunnel Boat Trip - September 18th

It is proposed to partake of a trip though the Dudley and Netherton tunnels on Saturday 18th September 2010. In order for this to go ahead a minimum of 20 bookings are required although the maximum the boat can carry is 48. Bookings need to be received by the end of July to be able to confirm the provisional reservation of the boat.

The trip takes about 5 hours starting from the meeting place at 10:30 in the car park off Birmingham New Road. There will be a break (in the open) at the Bumble Hole conservation area, and Cobb’s Engine house, between the two tunnels at which pre-ordered hot food can be delivered to the boat.

The cost will be in the region of £12-00 for the boat, plus a further £5-00 for the food.

Bookings, stating name & address for each person, together with email address for the menu (see below) should be made to Tony Dunning, 27 Bridge End, Egremont, CA22 2RE together with a cheque made payable to IWA, North Lancs & Cumbria at a rate of £10-00 per person. This deposit will be non-refundable unless numbers booked make the trip non-viable in which case the cheques will be returned uncashed.

A menu of the available food, together with a map and directions to the start, will be sent to all bookings that include an email address for this purpose. If no email address is available please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope instead.
