This is an excellent guide and a must for anyone wishing to make the most of the towpath or the boater who wants to stop and stretch his or her legs. The maps are small but clear and the relevant pathfinder and landranger maps are referenced for each walk.
The walks in this book are circular. Every foot of the towpath is covered, and much of the adjacent countryside too. Details about the bird and plant life are given as Mary Welsh walks the route in all seasons.
Christine Isherwood's lovely drawings capture delightfully the very essence of the walks along the cut.
