A handy cafe for boaters mooring at Hest Bank. Located at the foot of Station Road, next to the railway crossing, "The Bay Crossing" provides a good menu of both eat in and take-away fare at reasonable prices.
They open for breakfast at 8:00am on weekdays and 9:00am at weekends.

| We stopped here on the way home one wet Monday lunchtime. Intending just to have a cuppa and a bun we were tempted by the all day breakfast and we were so glad we succumbed. The plate was full enough to satisfy a hearty appetite and the taste was excellent. From memory it consisted of Sausage, Thick sliced Bacon, Fried Egg, Grilled Tomato, Home made Hash Brown, Beans, Black Pudding, Fried Bread, Toast and a Mug of Tea or Coffee. The frequent passing of express trains just outside the window provided a interesting distraction to this otherwise quiet and cosy cafe. Highly recommended. |
