The Waterway Recovery Group have agreed to hold two canal camps on the Northern Reaches of the Lancaster Canal. The decision was made following the very successful joint work party with wrgNW in September when several of the WRG team walked the length between Stainton Crossing bridge and Sellet Hall bridge and discussed the proposed works.
There is still alot of work to do to prepare for the camps and the Trust would be interested in hearing from anyone who has experience in civil engineering, earthworks and related activties who would like to help with the project.
The two camps will take place on consecutive weeks: July 21-28 and July 28-August 4 and anyone can attend for the stunningly low price of £56 which includes accommodation and food.
