Other Aqueducts

Aqueduct over the River Brock. (Bridge No. 46)
The river bed had to be lowered at this point to allow for the foundations of the aqueduct to be put in place. This is why there appears to be a waterfall behind the aqueduct.

Hollowforth Aqueduct (Bridge No. 38)
Obviously there can sometimes be a lot more water in this river than when the image was taken. There is a public footpath from the towpath to this footway through one of the 'cylinders' so access underneath the canal can be made to the other side.

Crooklands Aqueduct (Bridge No. 165)
The Peasey Beck runs under this aqueduct on its way from Killington Lake, which was built as the main reservoir for the canal. Just south of this structure is where the Peasey Beck Feeder enters the canal.

Stainton Aqueduct (Bridge No.171)
Obviously this is another aqueduct with a walkway to the other side.  It is also the last feeder into the watered section of the canal as the water ends at the next bridge.

Sedgwick Aqueduct (Bridge No. 178)
As can be seen this does not take the canal over a river, but a narrow road in the pretty village of Sedgwick.

Keer Aqueduct (Bridge 132)
This aqueduct carries the Canal 35 feet above the River Keer near Capernwray.
